The North Carolina School of Science and Math is committed to upholding Title IX policies and procedures. The Title IX policy requires specialized and/or additional processes and procedures to address reports of sexual harassment and assault which are described in the Title IX Institutional Policy. NCSSM Non-Discrimination Policy

NCSSM is committed to equality of opportunity and the maintenance of an environment free of any discriminatory or harassing conduct based on age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status. In addition, NCSSM seeks to provide an environment for students free from threatening or offensive conduct based on one’s socioeconomic status, academic status, social, mental, or physical ability, or other personal characteristics.

NCSSM Title IX Institutional Policy

Pursuant to Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. In certain circumstances, sexual harassment may constitute impermissible discrimination on the basis of sex.
